Relationship Goals

Notes referring back to Genesis Chapter 2

You can tell if a relationship is from God if that relationship is helping you. Relationships should help you succeed. Relationships where the purpose isn't known open the door to the Devil. God designed an order for your Relationships to succeed.
These are the 5 things God gave Adam before he gave him a person in verse 18.
Before the person:
* (A place) God desires to give you a place where he knows purpose can happen in our lives. Don't fight the job that God placed you in, the people he placed you around, or the Church he planted you in.
* (A purpose) If you embrace the place God placed you, he will start revealing your purpose there. Adam started working in purpose before he ever got a person.
* (Provision) He supplies where he calls us to. God only funds his ideas. If he isn't providing, go back and check that you are in the right place and walking in your purpose.
* (Identity) God made us to be like him. The devil isn't scared of a counterfeit, someone posing to be someone else. He's scared of you walking in your purpose, and finding your identity. Stop excepting what somebody who doesn't know their identity tells you.
* (Parameters) If you don't have a standard before you get in relationships, the relationships will create the standard that you live by. So many people get hurt in relationships because they don't listen to the parameters. Two are better than one at everything, even messing up. So if I don't have a standard and I'm with somebody who doesn't have a standard we are gonna mess up.
If God's not enough, no person ever will be.
