YHWH

Okay. Yes, this may look like a 5 year old little girl took a sharpie to an index card. But she was actually 16, and a lot of thought was put into this. You don't have to like the art, I know it's not Van Goghing into a museum or anything. (Hahaha that's a knee slapper) But it's my favorite thing I've created recently, so take a second to listen to the story.

I grew up as a Christian. I've always known about God, I have sang in church for as long as I can remember. And when I asked Jesus into my heart my parents had basically just walked out of the delivery room. (But all jokes aside.)
I always knew OF God. But I didn't start getting to KNOW him, until about a few years ago. I started taking it seriously. I started reading my Bible for myself. I started asking questions, because I really wanted to know this guy everyone spoke so highly of. Getting to know him, having a relationship with him, it's the best thing I've ever done. Because when I started talking to him, reading his word, and worshipping him, all these big things began to start falling away. All these burdens. And once those were gone? Small burdens started to fall away. And now? Now I'm able to help others with their burdens, and that is the greatest gift I could ask for.
So what does this silly little index card depict? Well, it depicts me, in the middle of all my mess, in the middle of all the bad things that have happened around me, in sin, in worry, in guilt, in shame, in evil, in PURE CHAOS. And then it shows me, holding on for dear life to God, the son, the light of the world, YHWH.
As you can see, the sun beams are in order, the sun beams show dots and lines in numerals of three, a reference to Jesus' resurrection, saving us from our sins, and allowing his Holy Spirit to now call us his home. The sun beams also show dots and lines in numerals of seven, representing the 7 days he took to create this world for us, including the one he took to rest. Throughout the beams you may also find God's name, YHWH.
This index card shows us how even when the dark seems to be blocking us in, the light is right there. But there's also a whole book on it that I HIGHLY encourage every one of you to give a chance. Because he gave us one.
